The American Horsemen Challenge Association (AHCA) is a nationwide equine obstacle challenge series designed to celebrate true horsemanship and partnership between rider and horse.

AHCA hosts timed obstacle course competitions across the United States that welcome riders of all breeds and disciplines, emphasizing strategy, training, and respect for the horse above all else. They foster a family-friendly atmosphere rooted in competition, camaraderie, respect, and integrity, offering an inclusive environment where riders grow their skills and form lasting community connections.

Picnics & Ponies
Saturday - April 25th

Keep a lookout for Yogi the Bear, National Park signs, giant ants, and see how quickly you can set up a picnic table on horseback.

Beach Blanket Bingo
Saturday - June 15th

Enjoy the beach? Have a blast at our horse-sized beach party. Expect some wild things: sharks in the trees, loads of beach balls, and loads of water obstacles.

Christmas Party
Saturday - December 12th

Join us for a Merry Christmas course, hot chocoa, peppermints, and loads of presents!

Membership Options:

AHCA has rider memberships for different ages and needs:

Regular Membership (18+) – Full participation, voting rights, eligibility for prizes, and year-end awards.
Youth Membership (18 & under) – Same event eligibility (without voting).
Life Membership – Permanent participation for dedicated supporters.

Note: To accumulate points toward year-end awards and qualify for national events, all horses must be registered with the AHCA.
