The All Round Equine Obstacle course is always evolving. Holly uses it to help her students build their horseback riding skills in a exciting and instantly rewarding way. All of our horses love it because its’ interesting and fun for them too. Whether we are on the ground or in the saddle, the obstacle course gives us an opportunity to train and learn through play.

There's so much more than horseback riding lessons. Meeting a horse on the ground teaches us how horses are listening and communicating. They can perceive even the tiniest of movements and the subtlest of shifts in our mood. What a lovely gift they give us - to be heard so well. They wait until we get it, and then they sigh - as if to say "Glad you could join me".

Did you know that trainers need training too? Holly is dedicated to continuing her horsemanship education and rides twice a week with USDF Gold medalist Anthea Kin. Holly and her Dressage horse - DiMaestro - are working towards their USDF Bronze Medal.

Horse training is not just for the experts. Here, Samantha practices some of her liberty work with Prospect. Liberty work entails connecting with the horse without the use of halters, ropes or other aids. Body language and emotional regulation are the only tools used to direct the horse. All Round Equine focuses on providing our clients with a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere where they can safely learn more about the many facets of horsemanship.

When we are working with a horse in the round pen, we get a great opportunity to refine our non-verbal communication skills. Horses provide us with non biased immediate feedback, when our thoughts and actions are controlled and thoughtful, theirs will be too. Horses teach us how to slow things down and simplify them, they encourage us to quiet our thoughts and refine our purpose.

Ms. Holly's School of Horsemanship: Sometimes weather doesn't permit for riding, but that is okay. There is much more to learn about horses than how to ride them! Horse anatomy, horse psychology, history of horses and more... Learn in the cozy and safe space of the heated and cooled barn with Ms. Holly and walk away ever-the-wiser.

Prospect is one of our more social horses at ARE. He has taught so many students proper riding techniques and provided them with hours of peaceful moments. Our students can attest that their time at All Round Equine is an active part of their self care and vital to their health.

Ms. Holly is happiest around her horses and it shows on her face here. Holly lives and breathes all things horse, which is what makes her such a great trainer- she is passionate about both the animals and the people that experience them.
