MEET THE HORSES 

Michael Jackson

the Thinker

     Mikey is a 5 year-old dark bay Mustang gelding. Mikey specializes in groundwork and connection, teaching his students how effective small gestures can be. Holly and Mikey train weekly toward their goal of becoming Ranch Riding All-Stars, making appearances at local clinics and all breed shows. Mikey assists in most of the lessons at A.R.E. and specializes in teaching students R+ methods.

Prospect

the People’s Horse.  

     Prospect is a 6 year-old buckskin Mustang gelding. Prospect most often enjoys hanging out with people and pondering the meaning of life. Prospect is kind and gentle, he takes excellent care of his riders, quietly teaching them patience and perseverance. Prospect is trained through 1st level dressage and has some very fancy ranchy moves. Most of our students encounter prospect first because he readily connects with most everybody and is very social.

Buck

the Ranch Horse

      Buck’s registered name is JUDGE PINE TIVIO, he is a 20 year-old silver buckskin American Quarter Horse gelding. Buck is a WDAA World Champion and has competed in a multitude of equine sports including extreme trail riding, classical dressage, barrel racing and ranch riding. He is a multi faceted all round type of horse and a great teacher for any level of rider. Buck likes neck scratches, treats of any sort and flirting.

DiMaestro 

the Dancing Horse

      We call him Sosie or SO for short, he’s a big old school warmblood registered Hanoverian gelding who hails from Canada. Holly and SO train weekly with USDF Gold Medalist Anthea Kin. They are currently training 2nd level classical Dressage with a goal of earning their Bronze medal from the United States Dressage Federation. So is kind and brave and big and bold. Students wishing to study Dressage more intensively have a lot to learn from SO.

D.G. Bill E. Bear

Bill E. Bear is a 4 year-old Mustang gelding from the Devil’s Garden HMA in California. Holly purchased him from the U.S. Forest Service in an online adoption event. Bill does lots f good work teaching folks how to be soft and fair with their body language. He's a sensitive talented little guy who always surprises us.  We are sure that Billy is the cutest and smartest of our herd.
